What happened? The fallout from Battlefield 2042's launch continues, as Electronic Arts makes sweeping changes that will affect the latest and future releases of the franchise. For starters, DICE CEO Oscar Gabrielson is stepping down after nearly a decade.
On Twitter, he said the decision to leave was one of the hardest decisions of his life, but promised that many players on the Battlefield were waiting for them.

Former Ubisoft Annecy Studios Rebecca Cutaz will replace Gabrielson.

Respawn CEO Vince Zampla will lead the Battlefield team, and Marcus Leto, a newly appointed Halo celebrity based in Seattle, will build a new team. The development team to help add more storytelling to the world of Battlefield.
