Good news for those who, for whatever reason, need a quick and easy way to remove recent browsing activity on mobile devices: Google's previously announced privacy feature that clears the last 15 minutes of your slow mobile search history is now up and running.
At Google I/O 2021, the company announced a "quick delete" option, along with several other tools focused on security and privacy. The company stated that this is one of the features that users have been asking for.
This tool is currently only available on Google iOS, but will be available on Android later this year, according to the company.
Using Express Delete requires you to be signed in with a Google Account. Users can access this option by clicking on the avatar icon to access settings and then selecting “Delete Last 15 Minutes”.
People on the desktop can automatically delete web and app activity (via Activity Control) every three, eighteen, or thirty-six months, as well as delete all history manually or delete each entry one by one.
Google insists that it only uses users' search history as a way to track "customization" of the experience when the Web & App Activity setting is enabled.
Previously, deleting Google search history on your mobile phone was not easy for some users, so the process was much faster, faster and easier, change the greeting, especially for anyone browsing content and prefer others not for science. Documentary Credit: Natee Meepian
