"We need something that gives us hope."
Fans of The Expanse were upset several years ago when SyFy canceled the popular series after only three seasons. Fortunately, this was the second time with Amazon Prime Video and it came back much stronger than ever with seasons three and four. But all good things must come to an end, even for Rocinante's brave crew. Amazon just released the official trailer for the sixth and final season of The Expanse, and it promises to be the most popular season of all time. p>
(Some spoilers from previous seasons, especially the S5 below.)
As previously reported, The Expanse is based on a collection of James S. Curry novels (written by Daniel's writing team). Ty Frank) studies the interplanetary tensions that occurred throughout the long-stable human system of the Solar System (known as Earth, Mars, and "Belters"). Part mystery, part political trailer, and part space opera classic, The Expanse has earned almost nothing but the acclaim of critics and loyal fans, not only for its compelling storytelling but also for its precise physics.Read more What makes The Expanse great: Good science, balancing epic and human and intelligently targeting blind spots to defend the planet. Opened up by a crowd, S5 leaves the solar system in search of new homes and vast fortunes in Earth-like worlds beyond the space ring. The Rosinant crew separates to find themselves. p>
Amos (Wes Chatham) returns to Earth to confront his past and the legacy of life he was fighting for. Naomi (Dominic Tipper) tries to save her estranged son, Philip (Chase Owens) from the toxic influence of his father, Marco. Bobby (Frankie Adams) and Alex (Cas Anwar) encounter the collapse of the planet Mars as they pursue a gang under the shadow of terrorists and criminals. Holden (Stephen Stephen) grapples with the fallout from the elemental molecule, the aliens who created it, and the mystery of why they were killed. Drummer (Kara Jay), with a new crew, struggles to escape from and what he was before. Refusing to fall to the sidelines, Avasarala (Shahreh Aghdashlo) fought to prevent a terrorist attack unprecedented in history. p> Propaganda
Eventually, all of these stories started converging. In the S5 final, Rocinante was saved from destruction by free naval ships thanks to the intervention of a drummer. Enarus was not satisfied with the betrayal of the drummer and executed one of his colleagues in retaliation. In a good political maneuver, Osarala was re-elected as Secretary-General of the United Nations. Bobby and Alex manage to rescue Naomi from her kidnappers, although Alex dies along the way. (Cas Anvar was dropped from the program after several allegations of sexual harassment.) At the final turn, a strange superstructure revolving around a world outside the ring space known as Laconia suddenly began to flourish with Protomolecule.
This season is at war with the Solar System from space, as Marco Inarus and his free navy continue devastating asteroid strikes on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and mutual loss separate the Rosinante crew, Crisgen Avasarala makes a daring move and sends former Martian Martian Bobby Draper on a secret mission that could change course. Meanwhile, in the belt, the drummer and what's left of his family are fleeing and being hunted down to betray Marco. And on distant planets, behind the rings, a new force begins to appear. p>
This trailer begins with the Avazarala brand in a tough, philosophical voice. "We were confused, broken, desperately trying to keep pretending we weren't," he says. Meanwhile, Marco declared that Ceres would be the capital of the new Belter country, "a place where all the Belters could be called home forever." Ossarala's spies finally find Marco's ships, and he has a plan for his downfall, which apparently includes hiring a Rocinate crew. But Marcus is smart and has to fight well. Finally, Avasarala realizes that in the midst of all-out war, "we need something that gives us reason to hope." It's not yet clear what role Laconia and Protomolecule will play in their heyday, but we hope this sixth and final season will be available to fans. p>
The sixth season of The Expanse will premiere on December 10, 2021 on Prime. Video. p>
