What happened? Nvidia's DLSS Frame Enhancer technology is currently available in dozens of titles (even big names like Cyberpunk 2077), but the list is expanding soon. The latest DLSS version is set to access 10 other games, including Tomb Raider, Baldur's Gate 3, and Left 4 Dead Back 4 Blood.
Nvidia has published an article announcing all new DLSS implementations including pre and post performance charts for several games. As usual, we don't advise readers to put too much into the product criteria, but they can still research and discuss.
Before we get into Nvidia's DLSS performance numbers, here's a quick list of all the games that will be supported by DLSS this month:Baldur's Gate 3 Back 4 Blood Crysis Remastered Trilogy Rise of the Tomb Raider Shadow of the Tomb Raider Chivalry 2 Sword and Fairy 7 Swords of Legends Online FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch Alan Wake Remastered
they receive from launch, while others are fired using the technology in it. Either way, let's start with a bunch of Nvidia's performance charts, and my personal favorite game from this list is Baldur's Gate 3.
Moving on to Back 4 Blood, the game now looks to perform very well with the default RTX 2080 Ti performing in 4K mode before DLSS (also playback mode) scaled to 80fps, but that number goes up to 114.7 smooth after powering on.
2060 is better than Baldur's Gate 3 here, with FPS before DLSS 41.6 and FPS after DLSS 59.8. Both numbers are convenient due to the extreme nature of 4K and RTX gaming. In the case of the 3080 Ti, out-of-park performance increases the DLSS frame rate from 112.4 to a deluxe 163.3.
Once again, we advise our readers to wait before creating any independent standards. Hardware (or game) buying decisions are here. We're not saying Nvidia is misleading, but the benchmarks tend to be perfect. It is not always clear what settings the games are played in or at what temperature. Two main factors for computer gamers.
