Razer offers new options for its portable and gaming laptop lines.

Windows 11 arrived yesterday, giving PC makers everywhere the opportunity to update their collections. Razer announced new SKUs for its ultra-portable Razer Book laptop and Razer Blade 15 Advanced gaming laptop today, both loaded with Microsoft's latest operating system. Of course, new computers also have new features to keep in mind.

Razer has its roots in PC gaming, but the Razer Book is About a triceps snake mission to get more laptop. The silver aluminum bodywork starts at just 2.9 pounds and is 0.6 inches thick, and rivals as much portability as the Dell XPS 13.

Today's announcement brings the starting price of the Razer Book to $1,000. It gives you a quad-core i5-1135G7 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a 1920 x 1200 screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Razer also announced more powerful versions with four cores: the i7-1165G7, 16GB of RAM, 512GB ($1,500) or 1TB of storage, and a 3840 x 2100 display ($1800).

Razer 15 Advanced Blade Advanced Model

1440p at 240Hz is now available. Zoom/1440p at 240Hz is currently available. Depending on the RTX 30 series portable graphics card, the Blade 15 Advanced Model is a gaming machine for both, but compared to most gaming laptops, its design is very nice and weak. The laptop weighs only 4.4 pounds and is 0.67 inches thick.

Several configurations were available for this notebook, but the two that Razer added today use eight i7-11800H cores. Cheaper ($2,700) with an RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a fast 240Hz display with 1460 252560 resolution. The Advanced model ($3,100) has twice the RAM and a more powerful RTX 3080 GPU.

Windows 11 support confirmed

Razer notes today that owners of older Razer laptops will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 and related Razer drivers automatically soon. A full list of supported Razer PCs can be found here. Razer also stated that software (such as Synapse) and its accessories are "fully compatible with Windows 11."
