The Windows 10 or 21H2 November Update is now available for download. The Windows 10 November Update (also known as Build 21H2) is available in the Windows Insiders Release Preview channel and can also be downloaded as an ISO file. Microsoft expects the current version, version 19044.1288, to be released to the public next month.

Windows 10 21H2 is a simple update with handy improvements. The notable feature is support for the WPA3 Hash-to-Element (H2E) standard, a "more efficient computing" addition to WPA3 that protects against side-channel attacks (see PDF from the Wi-Fi Alliance here). Another case is the GPU computing support for the Windows subsystem for Linux.

Microsoft has not announced whether the latest 21H2 update for Windows 10 will be the latest service. We know Microsoft will eventually move the new Microsoft Store from Windows 11 to Windows 10, and the older operating system will continue to receive updates from Microsoft Edge and (maybe) other built-in apps that update themselves through the Microsoft Store.

We also know that Microsoft is still providing 18 months of regular support for Home and Pro versions of Windows 10 21H2, which doesn't bring us close to the end of support for Windows 10 in October 2025. So it looks like we haven't seen the latest version of Windows 10 so far.

Despite the release of Windows 11, Windows 10 will continue to be relevant in the coming years due to the relatively high operating system of the new operating system. requirements; Windows 10 will be the latest version of Windows to support most PCs before 2017 or 2018. It's possible to install Windows 11 on PCs that aren't officially supported, at least for now, but Microsoft reserves the right to do so at any time and for any reason.
