As an addition to our iOS 15 review, we're looking at new items on the iPad. This year's iPad, the iPhone update is too small - does that mean this time it's the iPad's biggest update?

Read more ReadingiOS 15: Forget quantity, focus on quality Well, that depends on your point of view. iPadOS 15 brings just about everything that iOS 15 has to offer to the iPhone, but this brings the major removal of iOS 14 from last year to the tablet. As a result, if you haven't used an iPhone recently, iPadOS 15 seems like an important upgrade, but if you've already used the new features of the iOS 14 home screen and library, it seems too late for

we've released a lengthy iPhone-focused review for iOS 15 earlier this week. Consider this a brief supplement to the review that catches the eye of the iPad. See previous review for new features such as non-iPad focus or the list of iPads supported by iPadOS 15.

Home

Let's start with the home electronic screen, which has seen the biggest change this year, despite almost everything launching on the iPhone 14 in late 2020.

Arguably, The most important introduction to iPadOS 15 is the App Library, which iPhones received last year. Swipe right on the home screen to take you here, where you'll see a search field and several folders containing every app you've installed on your iPad. Unfortunately, like iOS 14, you cannot define these folders yourself. The program generates them automatically.

The real advantage here is that the home screen is no longer the only place you can save apps, which means you can remove apps from the home screen while searching. Focus and visit the Application Library page.

So if you have a plan that you use occasionally but not daily - like a plan to check or order your wallet. An app for a specific restaurant - You can install this app and use it whenever you want, but keep your home screen clean and focused.

When you try to delete an app on the home screen, ask if you want to delete the entire program Or move it to the program library.

Additionally, you can now hide or show home screens, which works well with Focus Mode (check out iOS 15 for more details; works the same on the iPad) to customize your home page even more than before.

The iPad also gets something the iPhone doesn't: accessing the Library app from the dock, which is much easier than swiping to the last page on the Home screen.

Widgets

Another key feature of the homepage is free widget support. The condition of the tools was a bit strange. Home screen widgets were released on iPadOS a few years ago, but this more powerful update first arrived on the iPhone about a year ago and only made its way to the iPad with iPadOS 15.

Whereas previously you could place widgets in a location Preset on the first page of the Home screen, you can now place it anywhere on the Home screen in a variety of sizes, including making changes to specific widgets not available on the iPhone.

You can place widgets next to the page next to app icons on the home screen, or you can put them in a package that only takes up the space of a widget. You can drag your finger on it to move between its user interface elements. This is all what we saw on the iPhone 14 when we reviewed iOS 14.

Unfortunately, setting icons and widgets on the home screen is still a real thing. Their limits have become clearer with more customization and the addition of features.

However, if you try to break your plan over and over again, because you're trying to get everything right where you want it, if you want it, a set of tools and an app library, you'll completely change the way the home screen works on the iPad. (Otherwise, you can ignore them all and use your iPad home screen as normal.)

Multitasking

Multitasking as Apple introduces iPadOS 15 New Content and Focus Center included here More also Intuitive ways to access features Already existing, but all are welcome.

New multitasking button

For example, app windows in full screen or split mode now have a three-dot oval button at the top. Tap or click a small screen that lets you select full screen, split view, or slide show.

Pressing full screen does what you expect. This makes the app full screen. By tapping on split view, the app takes up half of the screen, then puts you on the home screen, and you can select another app to capture the other half.

On the top left of the app, you can see the three options that the multitasking button offers. And in the app on the right, you can see the button before you click on View. (This oval is in the middle of the top From the app.) Zoom / In the top left of the app you can select three options See the introduction by the multitasking button. And in the app on the right, you can see its appearance before you click the button. (This ellipse is in the middle of the top of the program.) Samuel Axon

Previously, splitting the view was tricky. You have a full screen app, then swipe down from the bottom of the page to lower the dock, then tap on an app in the dock and drag it to the side of the screen to tap the separate view Needless to say, this method wasn't the best. The new setting is better, and has the advantage of being visible, which was not the case in the previous method. If you haven't attended, you will probably never understand the old fashioned way.

Finally, clicking or tapping the scroll button will move the app down, which will put it in iPhone app mode and put it in full screen or split apps mode. You can also drag between slide shows on the screen, or remove them from the screen and play them again as desired.
