Netflix is getting more open these days about how many people watch its content, but the previous way of ranking titles based on the first two minutes of the first 28 days on the service has always been controversial. The standard has now changed to the total number of hours watched per week, and the company has launched a website listing the most popular shows and movies.
Top 10 Netflix, as the name suggests, is the company's standalone website that lists its content based on the number of views over the past week. It also indicates that a movie/show has been in the top ten for a few weeks. Visitors can check out four separate tables for English and non-English movies and TV shows. p>

Not-so-great reviews of the Ryan Reynolds, Rock and Gal Godot action-comedy series seem to have kept it watched for more than 148 million hours between November 8 and November 14. Pablo Perez de Russo, Netflix Vice President of Content Strategy, wrote that "traditional metrics such as Buy tickets or audience participation (designed to help advertisers understand the success of linear television) for most broadcasters, including Netflix. Maintaining subscription services is important. “People want to know what it means to be successful in the broadcast world, and these lists provide the clearest answer to that question in our industry.” p>
