Today we're reviewing the new yz or not the new Ryzen 7 5700G. The processor was released in April but is only intended for use on installed systems. AMD said last month that AMD will launch the 5600G in August, so next month.

We've been trying to get one of these APUs for some time, but it just wasn't. in Australia easily. A few weeks ago we found an HP Pavilion computer with the 5700G, so we put one together to see what the chip can do. software benchmarks

With the multi-core Cinebench R20 we see the Ryzen 7 5700G is good for 5,432 points, which is great, although slower than the 5800X and 11900K, with about 10 margins Shi.

It was 9% faster than 10700K, so there is such a thing, but it seems that since the number of cores is the same as 5800X and the clock speed is about the same.


When displaying single-core performance, the 5700G is slower than the 5600X, although the single-core performance is only 3% lower, and when using the best desktop AMD APU by comparison, 3400G We're considering a 39% increase in single-core performance.


On the go, 7 zip compression performance is slightly better than Core i7-10700K and therefore not much better than Hexa-core 5600X or old 8-core 3700X processor. So while the performance is respectable, it's not exactly what you'd expect from a Zen 3 octa-core processor.

Compression performance looks a little better, here the 5700G is 9% slower than the 5800X, which is not too bad and managed to go over 11900K, so this is a good result compared to Intel.

As we saw in our single-threaded Cinebench R20 test, the 5700G is slower than the 5600X, resulting in a three-core Zen 3 processor with a 10% difference when tested with Adobe After effects. In fact, here we only see performance roughly equivalent to a Core i5-11400F or Ryzen 7 3700X.

That's a similar story in Adobe Photoshop, the 5700G is only capable of matching the Core i5-11400F, 12% slower than the 5800X and 5% slower than the 5600X.

Then we have Premiere Pro 2020 and here the 5700G is 11% slower than the 5800X as the 3700X/10700K delivers similar performance, making it more than 8-core similar to a 6-core Zen 3 processor.

The blender is the latest blender than the software benchmark and here the 5700G was 8% slower than the 5800X, but about 20% faster than the 5600X, so a logical conclusion. Power consumption

We often see that the 5700G 3700X delivers similar and similar performance in terms of power consumption. That is, it is also compatible with 10600K. Time for some integrated graphics experimentation. For this data, we use Vega 8 5700G graphics with an iGPU at 3400G and 11700. For comparison, we also added the Radeon RX 550 and GeForce GTX 1060 3GB and 6GB versions as well as the Radeon RX. 5500 XT, all tested with the Ryzen 5 5600X.

For a modern and demanding title like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the Vega 5700G's graphics aren't powerful enough, at least if you want to be better than the 30fps experience. Running 1080p with minimal configuration however, the 5700G averaged a good 33fps. The only option left is to downgrade to 720p, at which point things get very frustrating.

All that said, the 5700G was 32% faster than the 3400G, and... much faster than the Core i7-11700, so it's a better solution for iGPU gaming than Intel LGA1200 desktop processors.

Compared to single graphics cards, we're looking at the Radeon RX 550/, which has similar performance to that of the GeForce GT 1030, so every half of a modern graphics card will be much faster. Take the Radeon RX 5500 XT, for example, which spits out an average of 88 frames per second.

The 5700G is more useful in low-demand games like Rainbow Six Siege. It was fine here to use a medium quality preset of 65fps.

With Low speed, you can always keep the frame rate above 60fps.This is roughly equivalent to the performance of the RX 550 and is about 40% faster than the 3400G, which is a huge improvement.

Horizon tested Zero Dawn like Assassin's Creed Valhalla at the lowest possible quality.Settings at 1080p and achieving 5700G playback performance or any of these iGPUs because it's impossible.

Shado w of the Tomb Raider is a much older AAA title, but it still can't deliver achievable performance, even with the lowest quality settings possible, depending on what you're playing. The game is technically playable at 37fps, but it's not quite a fun experience, at least in my opinion, I prefer playing the old title at this point.

Doom Eternal can be played with minimal settings, and at a frame rate of over 40 fps, it wasn't a bad experience. This is actually a big deal for the 5700G because the 32% performance increase over the 3400G makes the game noticeably better.

As expected, as we've seen in other instances with the game's order, Death Stranding cannot be played with the 5700G because the frame rate is around 30 frames per second. This is a huge improvement over the 3400G, but unfortunately it's not yet operational.

Dirt 5 at an average of 39 fps and a 1% low 33 fps is fairly playable. That's a 22 percent increase over the 3400G, but it's not as profitable as we've seen in other titles.

Biomutant is another new game that you can't work with at least at a satisfying frame rate of 5700G with 1080p. Here we see an average of 27 fps, and interestingly this amount is significantly reduced in the RX 550.

Watch Dogs: Legion is also not playable at 1080p though Minimum settings, here we average only 28 frames per second, so the game could be played and there was no streaming.

Outriders with lowest possible settings 1080p quality with 5700G and oddly enough they were playable no faster than 3400G. I think that's a driver issue, and we probably saw that in Biomutant.

However, one game you can easily play is Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as the 5700G managed to achieve a rate of 112 fps, which fits in with a 35% increase to 3400G And it brings us to the region with a refresh rate, which is very impressive. This is more than double the Core 11700 or 11th generation processors.

It should be noted that this performance is achieved using medium quality settings, so you can lower the frame rate if you wish.

Also available in F1 2020 in 1080p with lowest quality settings, 60 ps in F1 2020, which was a 28% increase in performance compared to 3400G which is very important and It leads to a better gaming experience.

Finally, we had the Dota 2 tested using the highest quality settings and here the 5700G did well at an average of 73 fps, up 33% in the performance ratio to the 3400G.

A high-quality connection will greatly improve your Dota 2 performance, especially since the 5700G processor is quite powerful, so 1440p gaming is possible here. Gaming Benchmarks (dGPU)

To test gaming performance with a discrete graphics card, we chose the GeForce RTX 3090 and started with the F1 2020. Here, the 5700G can be compared to the previous generation Intel Core i7-10700K octa-core. When compared to the 5800X, it's 6% slower, which isn't much but shows that it cuts performance in half compared to the L3 cache.


The 5700G was a little slower when tested with the Rainbow Six Siege than the 5800X, but we're talking about a 4% lower margin and a good APU versus 485 fps that was pretty good. As far as As far as eight-core processors are concerned, they are said to be slower than 10 and 11 cores and only 7% faster than the 10600K.

Next is Horizon Zero Dawn, with the 5700G being 8% slower than the 5800X , delivering performance similar to 10600K at 151 fps. Despite the slowest Zen 3 processor we've seen, this remains a good result in the plan of big things.

5700G Borderlands 3 averaged 151 fps and mirrored the performance of the 3700X and 3600, which is a bit disappointing. It was also slower than the Core i3-10100, Core i7-7700K, and a host of other processors, although it's worth noting that's not a solid Ryzen title, so the 5700G was only 6% slower than the 5800X.

The Watch Dogs Legion has a 5800x margin increase. Here, the 5700G is 12 percent slower on average, delivering 101fps, which again means it delivers the same performance as the 3700X.

Death Stranding makes great use of the massive L3 cache of Zen 3 processors, the 5800X is allowed here at 214 fps, making it Fastest processor tested. Slowly the 5700G was 15% slower and downgraded to the i5-11400F, although it was still 12% faster than the 3700X.

Interestingly enough, we saw a 20% performance drop on the 5700G compared to the 5800X, which means it's only good at 132fps, and the Ryzen 7 is 3700X and offers a Core i5-10600K.

In Hitman 2, the 5700G was again significantly slower than the 5800X, this time by 15%. This brought it down to the Core i5-10600K, although it was 8% faster than the 3700X.

Average performance

When it comes to more processors with a GPU, the Ryzen 7 5700G is "amazing," and putting all the cores in one oven seems pointless. Cache capacity plays a more vital role.

This is not to say that performance is bad and the best we've seen from AMD APUs. The 5700G is a powerful CPU that can handle the performance of Core i5. The 10600K matches and I think most would agree, this is a great CPU for gaming.

When compared to the 3400G, we get an 88% increase in gaming performance, even though the new Zen 3 APU is much more expensive.

If you're expecting 5800X-level performance, you might be a bit disappointed to learn that the 5700G is 11% slower on average. Note that we're using an RTX 3090 at 1080p, so playing at 1440p or higher, with a fast but not heavy GPU, there's no fundamental difference between Ryzen 7 processors.
