Finding a tweet from a specific user is fairly simple, but I'm going to make it easy. Twitter introduced a feature that it tested at least last month that allows iPhone users to search for specific user accounts directly from their profile page.
Twitter users can now search for specific user tweets. Well, technically the platform always provides this using the "from:" function (from: TechSpot). Last month, Matt Navarra, co-founder of Geekout, reported that Twitter has introduced a feature that places a dedicated search button on profile pages. Unfortunately, it was limited to a few mobile phone users. This feature was launched globally on Friday. p>
This feature will make it easier for users to find specific tweets. For example, maybe you heard someone tweet something and you want to add or retweet your two cents in the comments. Just go to the profile page. At the top, next to the menu button (...) there is a magnifying glass. Tap on it, then enter your search terms to find the tweet. It's obviously better than doing a general search that shows 20,000 tweets from other people. p>
Unfortunately, XDA Developers notes that this shortcut is currently only available in the latest stable version of the Twitter for iOS app. It's not clear if Twitter will bring it to Android devices, although it seems like a logical improvement. Adding a search button to a version of the Twitter website makes more sense, because typing on a regular keyboard is easier than typing a thumb on a small phone screen. p>
Profile search is one of the many new features. Added to the Twitter platform in September, it released "Super Followers," which allows users to add additional content to their feeds and pay for it with $3, $5 and $10 subscriptions. It has also added "Tips" (previously known as Tip Jar Twitter), so followers can donate money, including bitcoins, to their favorite Twitter accounts. Last month, the platform added the ability to "quietly block followers" so that I could block my mother-in-law without any negative consequences. p>
