what happened? Samsung has confirmed that the upcoming Unpacked event will officially take place on August 11 at 10AM EDT / 7AM PDT, but this year's online display alone doesn't seem to feature a familiar sight: the latest Galaxy Note. Instead, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 appear to be in the middle.
Rumors have been circulating that the Galaxy Note 20 might be the latest addition to the Note series since last summer. It looks and feels more realistic with the arrival of the Galaxy S21 Ultra with Note S-Pen support. Also in March, Samsung CEO Koh Dong-jin told shareholders that the release of "two flagship vehicles a year" could be a "burden".
The title of the uncompressed invitation "Preparing to expand" hints at what's in store. Claimed images and specifications for the Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 were imported last month. In the latter case, we'd expect a 5.5-inch internal AMOLED display, a 6.2-inch screen with a cover, and a Snapdragon 888 processor. It's also rumored to be cheaper than the Z Fold 2 and cost $1,600. Elsewhere, the FCC list supports mmWave 5G and UWB (Broadband) Z Fold 3, 9W wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and MST for Samsung Pay. p>
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phone is said to have a dual-tone color scheme and a larger (1.9-inch) external display while the 6.7-inch interior remains 25 : 9 of the previous generation unchanged. The dual-camera design is now vertical, there's a larger battery and is said to have a selfie camera under the screen. The phone also uses the Snapdragon 888 and is expected to be priced at $1,400.
Samsung has confirmed that the latest Galaxy Watch will be revealed at an Unpacked event. This wearable will run the new version of Wear OS that the company is producing in collaboration with Google. We may also see the unveiling of the Galaxy Buds 2 as well as the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. p>
