What to expect: The Motorola G Power's 2021 upgrade was a disappointment, but given the $50 price drop at launch compared to previous models, the futuristic model might be on the affordable buyers list. While there are some questionable specifications for the G Power 2022, the 90Hz refresh rate display and 128GB storage option are upgrades worth considering.
The G Power 2022 is still a 4G phone, but most buyers find it perfectly acceptable. They also may not realize that Motorola has switched from a Qualcomm SoC to a Helio MediaTek (G37) chip this time around. The affordable hardware in this Android is a big 5000mAh battery, smoother screen, more convenient cameras and connectivity, and Android 11 out of the box. The base model is $200 with the memory/storage combination increased to 4GB/128GB in the $250 higher version. Both versions have a microSD expansion slot to add another 512GB on top. While the 6.5-inch screen is still a 720p LCD, it now has a faster 90Hz panel which should provide the perfect blend of performance and functionality. Interestingly enough, Motorola still has 3 days of battery life with this device. p>
