Smartphone vendors in terms of transportation have been constantly changing over the past quarter. But when it comes to revenue and profits, Apple has firmly established itself as a market leader.
Counterpoint Research in its latest market report shows the manufacturers progress in transportation, revenue and profit from the first quarter of 2019. Since then, the major players have attempted to position in terms of total transfer share excluding a quarter, Samsung has topped the table , but the fight for second place and beyond was very smooth. A safe distance between you and your competitors is at the top of the list.
In the second quarter of 2021, Apple managed to generate 75% of total operating profit for the phone market and 40% of revenue despite only 13% of global phone shipments. As Counterpoint points out, that's still less than its peak in the last quarter of 2020, when Apple accounted for 86% of profits and half of all revenue. The same is true for revenue, except for two quarters when Huawei beat Samsung for second place.
Speaking of Huawei, the downfall of the company after US sanctions is clearly visible in all three categories. This helped other Chinese smartphone makers take action, including Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo.
