According to a new report, the M2 Pro will be the first chip based on TSMC's 3nm technology that will be used in a number of new Macs. Some time ago, it was said that the production of this chip will be done later than expected, but now it seems that the production plans have returned to the same date as before. TSMC clearly wants to prepare 3nm chips for several different companies. Although Apple is TSMC's most important customer and naturally the first to benefit from this technology, companies such as Intel, Qualcomm and MediaTek are also lining up to use this advanced technology.

As you probably know, variables Like the war between Russia and Ukraine, it has created many problems for the world economy, and among the results of these actions, we can point out the decrease in demand for buying smartphones and laptops, and as a result, the demand for chips also decreases. According to the practice of the past years, when the demand for chips decreases, companies try to increase the speed of development of new models of chips.

Regarding Apple's M2 Pro chip, we must say that after using MacBook Pro laptops 13-inch and the new MacBook Air from the M2 chipset, this company plans to unveil the M2 Pro, M2 Max and even M2 Extreme chips in a few months, which naturally provide much more hardware power than the standard model.

Some sources believe that Apple will hold an event dedicated to Mac computers and iPads in about two months. Most likely, in this event, we will see the unveiling of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro based on the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. There is also the possibility of introducing Mac Mini and Mac Pro equipped with these new chipsets.

Regarding the A series chips used in iPads and iPhones, it seems that the A17 chipset will be based on 3nm technology. This is despite the fact that last year the A15 in the iPhone 13 series was based on 5nm technology and it is said that the iPhone 14 Pro models also use the 5nm A16 chip. Its factories are produced, it has decided to expand cooperation with TSMC, and as a result, in the second half of the next year, we will see the production of 3 nm Intel chips by TSMC.
