The main Netflix account, which allows you to stream to one device at a time and does not include HD or 4K content, is now more expensive at $1 per month at $9.99. Going to Standard lets you watch two screens at the same time and includes HD content for $15.49 per month, which is $1.50 more than the previous price.

The premium package allows four simultaneous broadcasts to be provided as well. As 4K Ultra HD content if available. This is currently back to $19.99 per month from $17.99.

Prices are also on the rise in Canada, with the Standard plan now priced at $16.49 CAD per month.

Netflix shares rose about $20 on the news, but closed at $525.69 after losing half of that increase.
