Several tech leaders, including Amazon, Meta and Twitter, have already backed attendance at next month's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas due to concerns about the Omicron Quaid-19. We can now add Lenovo to the growing list of companies without a physical presence at CES.
A Lenovo spokesperson told TechCrunch that after closely monitoring trends around Covid, they believe it is in the best interest of employees, customers, partners and society at large to take care of everything. Operations are scheduled on site in Las Vegas.

The spokesperson added that Lenovo's new technology is still scheduled for January 4 and January 5.

- CES (CES) December 22, 2021

The CES Organizing Consumer Association, again Tuesday when CES will be 2022 In Las Vegas from January 5 to January 8. We have been told there will be "strong safety precautions" that include showing evidence of Covid-19 vaccination to a public meeting.

CES 2022 also has a default component for those who cannot/do not want to travel to the desert.

With new and upcoming holidays. By celebrating year after week, the virus will likely get worse before it recovers. If we were to take a guess, Lenovo won't be the last major player to retire from CES. What we don't know yet is when or whether the CTA will shut down the entire physical event.
