The big picture: CES is still welcome as four other famous exhibitors refuse to attend next week's event. However, the exhibition will continue as the organizers communicate this message to focus on small entrepreneurs and innovators rather than large companies.
An IBM spokesperson told The Verge that as a precaution, they have decided not to attend the event in Las Vegas but are still keen on virtual presence.

Likewise, German automaker BMW said it will move all media activities planned at CES to a full online application, which will be available on January 5. A colleague of German automaker Mercedes-Benz was also late and told CNET that due to the large number of participants and various regulations in the country, they could not guarantee a safe environment and therefore they canceled their company at CES 2022.

Meanwhile, Panasonic has confirmed to Mashable that it will not attend CES either.

The four join a growing list of exhibitors who have already resigned. AMD, MSI, OnePlus, Microsoft, Lenovo, General Motors, Intel, Meta, Twitter, Pinterest, Google, Amazon, etc.
