https://safirsoft.com Micron starts sending out its 176-layer QLC SSD, which comes on a small bill with 2TB of storage.
What happened? Micron has launched volume shipments of the world's first 176-layer NAND SSD (QLC), which it says provides industry-leading storage density and improved performance. This technology is used in the Micron 2400 SSD available in a small 22mm x 30mm drive with a capacity of 2TB and a continuous read speed of 4500MB/s.

In November 2020, Micron began sending out the world's first 176-layer 3D NAND flash memory. The company said it expects the technology to find its way into industries such as automobiles, in-vehicle infotainment systems and portable storage, as well as customer/data center solid-state drives.

NAND 176 3D Layers are now available on 2400 Gen4 QLC Series Micron SSDs, which the company says have 33% faster I/O speeds and 3D latency. 24% lower reading transmission The previous generation engine has 96-layer technology.

Choosing the highest capacity drive gives you a continuous read speed of 4500MB/s and a continuous write speed of 4000MB/s. Random read/write, meanwhile, are 650K and 700K IOPS, respectively.

Micron offers the M.2 drive in three variants: the familiar sized 22 x 80mm, 22 x 42mm, and a small 22 x 30mm, all in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities.

The drive meets the requirements of the Intel Project Athena, which requires more than 9 hours of actual battery life on laptops, even those with high-resolution screens. Budget, tailored. Desktop and laptop computers. Those speeds are a long way from the 7000Mbps we see on the best 4G SSDs, but the Micron 2400 SSD is expected to be worth the current capacity, and the 22mm x 30mm model should have great storage options.
