https://safirsoft.com Intel Celeron G6900 processor can be compatible with i9-10900K single-series performance

The first results of the newly introduced Intel Celeron G6900 benchmark were found in the Geekbench database and they certainly look promising. Not impressive compared to other 12th generation Core processors, but compared to 10th generation Core i9-10900K, single-thread performance seems to be at the same level.

To consider everything, we must first compare the specifications of both chips. Intel Celeron G6900 is a 2C/2T processor with a base frequency of 3.4GHz, 4MB of L3 cache and 46W TDP. Core i9-10900K is a 10C/20T CPU with a base frequency of 3.7GHz, which is increased to 5.3GHz using thermal overclocking technology. Additionally, the chip has 20MB of L3 cache and has 125W TDP. On paper, the i9 looks a lot better than the G6900 in every respect, but looking at the various Geekbench inputs found recently, this processor isn't quite as simple as the Alder Lake Celeron on the ASRock Z690M Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard. Installed and paired with 16GB From DDR4 memory, the performance of a single-core Alder Lake Celeron is equivalent to a 10-core processor.

The Geekbench input indicates that the processor is running. 4.4 GHz, with about 1,400 points on the single-chain standard. In the multi-core test, the results vary between 2300 and 2600.

- Benchleaks (BenchLeaks) Jan 021 Compare G6900 results on a Geekbench CPU benchmark Alder Lake runs in roughly the same single-core scenario as the Intel Core i9-10900K (1393 points). This is rather impressive, given that the former is a 12th-generation Core processor, and the i9-10900K is the older dual-generation Core.

As expected, the difference in multi-core performance between the two exists. Notable, but to be expected given the large difference in the number of cores (2 vs 10 cores with HyperThreading).

Despite its impressive single-thread performance, the G6900 will not be your go-to processor for gaming systems. Single-core performance is very important for gaming, but modern titles have more cores that this processor lacks. In general, the entry-level CPU in Alder Lake seems more suitable for office work and general computers.
