Why it matters: Google will reveal its next Pixel smartphone at its hardware event scheduled for October 19. Unlike Apple, which is considered secretive, Google has commented on its next smartphone, which means we already have a lot of information about future phones. But what else is Google planning for the hardware event?
The techie recently announced the news on Twitter, pointing to a link to the Pixel event's landing page. According to the interactive website, the event will take place on October 19 at 10am in the Pacific Ocean and will likely be streamed via YouTube.

at Early in August, Rick Osterloh, Senior Vice President of Google Devices and Services, revealed that the new Pixel series has an upgraded rear camera system with better sensors and lenses via the "camera bar". The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will also be the first devices to offer Tensor, Google's first custom SoC for mobile devices, along with the Titan M2 security module. Running Android 12 out of the standard Pixel 6 box has matte aluminum, while the Pro model will have a brushed aluminum frame on top. Modems in new Pixel phones, rather than Qualcomm chipsets. The modem in question is said to be an Exynos 5123, and if this is true, this is the first time an unknown company from Samsung has offered its phone with an Exynos modem. Full details of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro should wait until October 19. However, Verge spent some time with prototype units a few months ago.
