Instead of using the "Core Downloader" in RetroArch, users have to download them while downloading the DLC for each Steam game. RetroArch is free on Steam with all "DLC".

As of this writing, 10 centers are available this way. In all, they should allow users to emulate systems such as the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, Atari 2600, Neo Geo, Sega Saturn, original PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and more. Additional cores will be added in the future, but other cores can also be installed manually by downloading them directly from the RetroArch website and copying them to the RetroArch folder in steamapps > General > RetroArch > Cores.
