Video game publisher Take-Two Interactive is trying to buy Zynga for $12.7 billion, making it one of the video game industry's biggest acquisitions. The deal has yet to close, as Zynga still has 45 days to find alternative offers from other companies.

After 45 days, and if no other company makes a better offer, Zynga should be under Take-Two's wing. However, this only occurs during the first quarter of the publisher's fiscal year 2023, after the shareholder confirms the transaction. The boards of the two companies unanimously approved the terms of the purchase.

For Take-Two, Zynga acts as a portal for mobile games and social media, allowing the publisher to bring it in. Its biggest privilege for more operating systems. Take-Two Interactive has many successful features including Borderlands, Red Dead, Grand Theft Auto, NBA 2K, and Sid Meier's Civilization, to name a few.

Zynga has also proven to be a good Game publisher, and the developer has launched world-famous Ville series including FarmVille, CityVille and YoVille. Other titles and Game series from social Game company CSR Racing include Words With Friends, Empires & Puzzles, and Tangle Master 3D.

Interactive is a growing part of the entertainment industry. “We believe we will deliver significant value to both groups of stakeholders, including $100 million in annual synergies costs in the first two years after closing and at least $500 million in annual net booking opportunities over time.”

Zynga was acquired by Take-Two Interactive more than a year after the publisher's attempt to buy racing Game developer Codemasters for $1 billion did not happen. As EA finally signed a $1.2 billion contract with the Game developer.

At $12.7 billion, Zynga may be the most expensive acquisition in video Game history. . Earlier, Tencent bought a majority stake in Supercell for $8.57 billion, and recently, Microsoft bought Bethesda for $7.5 billion.
