American video game publisher Annapurna Interactive and French developer BlueTwelve shared the first game Stray, a game where you literally play as a cat. It sounds a little subtle, but judging by the gameplay trailer, it seems these two intriguing titles still make it deeper than it seems at first glance.
Fugue is much more than a real cat simulator. You play a cat in a mysterious and forgotten city, separated from its family and injured. You have to use your cat-like skills to discover and survive in the environment, solve puzzles, and discover secrets in the process.
Along the way, a B-12 drone will befriend and interact with human-like machines in the community. However, not everything you come across will be friendly, so you should always be aware of your situation.
It also seems like there are plenty of opportunities to do cat work...you know, climb things up, you'll be easily startled, loved and loved by others, and of course scratching furniture. Although Annapurna has been around since 2016, it has worked on a number of exciting games, including What Remains of Edith Finch, Going Home, Lying, and Twelve Minutes, to name a few. Stray is set to hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC in early 2022.
