What to expect: Just in time for Halloween, Capcom released a VR version of Resident Evil 4. On Monday, the publisher said the PDT will launch on October 21 at 7 a.m., just in time for Halloween. Capcom hasn't set a price for the game yet. If it's as scary as Resident Evil 7 for PSVR, you might want to re-lock the underwear drawer.
Armature Studios and Oculus Studios have partnered on the port for the Oculus Quest 2, which was first announced in April. Capcom has released a trailer for the game to mark its release date (below). The VR port has all the various features you would expect from a virtual reality game. Players can take out objects from the environment and move them between different weapons by dragging them from different projectiles. Instead of control buttons, players manipulate puzzles with their virtual hands.
Since the Quest 2 is wireless, you can play the game in a standing position without having to worry about pulling the power button. Of course, those who suffer from dizziness or are new to VR may want to play sitting still. To help overcome VR dizziness, players can choose between teleportation and room-wide motion modes. Earlier this year, Capum photographer and artist Judy Yuraczek featured in the RE4 logo, one of the iconic pieces of the RE4 logo, due to its use of Resident Evil 4 and other Capcom titles, which Capcom uses until April of this year. . Yurachek's lawsuit was filed in June, and in the latest announcement, the publisher changed the logo to remove the fourth-ranked teardrop, which is allegedly owned by Yurachek. Although acknowledging that this is not a violation, it may indicate that Capcom is preparing to resolve the dispute.
Resident Evil 4 VR will launch on October 21, 2021 in Oculus Quest 2 only. The price must be determined. You can sign up for the update on the Oculus website.
