What happened? Nvidia's GeForce Now game streaming service limits what the service provider calls OPS, also known as frames per second, to 12 priority games for all members. The game streaming platform has decided to ensure that all priority members receive a “consistent, high-quality experience.”
Depending on your GeForce Now membership, some OPS settings are applied that affect performance, graphics, and gameplay quality. If you're a priority member, you can override the default OPS profile with custom settings in most games, but according to Nvidia, that's changing. p>
A support document found by a Reddit user on the Nvidia website states that there is. "There are some exceptions...it doesn't work well on GPUs used by priority members at 60 fps.” To resolve this issue and ensure that all priority members have a consistent gaming experience, Nvidia will not allow priority members to cancel an OPS profile in 12 games. p>
Games like Outriders and Dauntless - possibly lower graphics - compressed games on this list - run at a maximum speed of 55 fps. Other harder games, such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, will be limited to 45 frames per second. The full list of games and related games can be found in the table below:Date added OPS Dauntless 55 FPS January 2020 Immortals Fenyx Rising 48 FPS November 2020 Cyberpunk 2077 45 FPS December 2020 Assassin's Creed Odyssey FPS 450 World Evolution 50 FPS February 2021 Program Dyson Sphere 50 fps February 2021 Valheim 50 fps February 2021 Path of Exile 50 fps March 2021 Outriders 55 fps March 2021 Kenshi 50 fps May 2021 Biomutant May 2021 Biomutant FPS20 FPS 50 List of all games in GeForce now As per frame rate they run at less than 60 fps
Although priority members play these 12 games at less than 60 fps, Nvidia continues to stream them to your device at 60 fps. May your gaming experience remain as smooth as possible. In addition, the tech company announced that it will continue to evaluate these titles and adjust the OPS accordingly.
According to Nvidia, seeing games like Path of Exile and Dying Light on this list is unexpected. Despite the relatively low system requirements, these games are limited to 50 fps, while Outriders, which are more graphically challenging, can run at 55 fps. p>
Also surprising is that Guardians of the Galaxy is not on this list. . The Redditor, who found Nvidia support, reported that the game was limited to 50 frames per second even after changing the graphics settings. p>
This news came less than a month after Nvidia announced the publication of the new GeForce level now, which gives members access. Equipped with low latency "SuperPODs" with AMD Threadripper Pro processors and RTX 3080 GPUs that let you play at 1440p resolution and up to 120fps. p>
Now, GeForce now supports over 1100 games. And the library is constantly growing. Today, Nvidia has added six new games to the platform, including Bright Memory: Infinite, Epic Chef, Jurassic World Evolution 2, MapleStory, Severed Steel, and Tale of Immortal.
Nvidia GeForce priority members can now play every game at 60 fps
