Despite having an advanced successor, Microsoft has announced that Forza Motorsport 7 and DLC will soon be phased out from the MS Store and will not be available via Xbox Game Pass. The game is currently discounted until September 15, after which only current owners can play / download, multiplayer and other online services.
Initially with a disappointing loot system, Forza Motorsport 7 has faced plenty of cars and tracks and is still one of the most attractive "simcade" cars out there today. For racing/driving enthusiasts who haven't tried it after almost four years, now is the time to do so, as the game will soon reach "end of life" mode.
In its official announcement, Microsoft announced that FM7 will also be removed from Xbox Game Pass, along with an encryption scheme for players who have purchased DLC in the subscription-based gaming service. These codes will be distributed from August 2nd and will provide ongoing access to the game for XGP players. Those who are not receiving tokens should contact Xbox Support.
