This new series is based on What If...? Launched in 1977, it is a comic book collection narrated by a character named Uatu the Watcher, a creature from the computer world who travels across the universe to witness the fall of various civilizations. Each story in the comics focused on an incident in mainstream Marvel, but then a point of difference was established, and the rest of the story explored the consequences of this change in timeline. Yes, really: The point is that one of the first two episodes will reveal the fact that Steve Rogers will take over the costume Iron Man instead.
In the other episode, Peggy Carter instead takes Steve's serum to super soldier Captain England. The trailer also shows T'Challa as Star-Lord (working with Yondu), what it feels like Being Peter Parker as Doctor Strange and Zombie Aven gers and... Howard the Duck? I think we can safely say that everything is going to be weird - in a good way.
"Time. Reality. This is changing," says one actor. What is all this if...?
