What happened? Remedy Entertainment announced earlier this week that it will release a new version of Alan Wake in late fall. For now, we've had our first look at how to improve the game on PlayStation 5.
Sam Lake, Creative Director of Remedy Entertainment, has shared more details about the upcoming game in a new post on the official PlayStation Blog.
On PlayStation 5, Alan Wake Remastered runs at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. For those playing with PS4 Pro, you have to choose between Performance mode (60 fps) or Quality mode (4K at 30 fps). We're told the standard PS4 will be limited to just 30fps. Wake Remaster as 4K on PlayStation 5
Lake further revealed that Remaster includes two previously released DLCs for the game, The Signal and The Writer, along with 4K visuals, updated environments and short overhaul scenes. New interpretation where Lake takes players to the memory lane.
The new 4K trailer for PS5 looks great, especially if you're like me and haven't done it yet. The game I've done it. I've heard great things about it (almost like The Last of Us, which I haven't played yet), so it's good to know that when I finally play it, it still looks fresh too.
Alan Wake Remastered will be released on October 5 for PC, Xbox series, Xbox One family, and PlayStation 4/5 No information on pricing or discount yet.No free upgrades available for existing Alan Wake owners.
