https://safirsoft.com Hackers claim to have hacked PS5 and got all the same root keys

Hot Potato: Jailbreaking, mods, ponytails, whatever you want to call it - hackers have fun building a machine that the manufacturer didn't intend. Over the years, the process has become more and more complicated, but hackers always seem to find a way. With the first anniversary of the PlayStation 5 approaching, it seems that someone has already broken the system.

Over the weekend, a Fail0verflow hacker claimed to have rooted the PS5. Sunday's tweet indicates that the group has obtained all the identical root keys for the PlayStation 5. Apparently, this key was obtained by decrypting the PS5 operating system. The tweet contained an image of a cracked software highlighting a seemingly secure system bootloader (secldr).

Most of the time, jailbreaking a PlayStation console requires hardware modification. Although Fail0verflow did not disclose its exploit, it did say that the keys are "derived from software" and this indicates that no hardware changes are required.

) We received. They can all be obtained from the app - including the root key on every console, if you look hard enough! https://t.co/ulbq4LOWW0

If valid, it's too big because Fail0verflow or other hackers can create a custom PS5 program that can download signed software With these valid root keys, this allows users to play home games without actually changing their system. However, hackers can use the same method to run bootlegg.

This exploit can also allow your PlayStation 5 to install and install an alternative operating system such as Linux on a PC. Convert the game to $500. Oddly enough, running Linux on PlayStation was an option Sony agreed to in the PS2 and early PS3 days.

Sony launched and sold the PS2 Linux suite in 2002. It included a Linux-based system and proxies. System, USB keyboard/mouse, VGA adapter, PlayStation 2 Ethernet network adapter, 40GB hard drive. There was no such kit for the PS3, but the system software had a configuration feature called "OtherOS" that was used to run an alternate operating system on a partition. However, Sony canceled this option in 2010 due to "security concerns".

Changing the game console has always been a major issue, both through hardware and software. The hacking community claims to release consumer-owned devices to allow users to do whatever they want with it. Its developers and creators see it as a circumvention of copy protection and illegal games that Sony takes very seriously.
