What is this bullshit ?! Apparently, REvil ransomware isn't alone in the July 4 weekend pick - hackers have made their way into Apex Legends, salvaging game menus and game notifications with the message "Save Titanfall"... From hackers who cracked this game, it's become "unlockable". to run".
Hacked content in the game was first spotted on Twitter by Apex Legends News, limiting players to the hacked (and disabled) "SaveTitanfall" playlist. Although it was initially thought to be limited to PC players, it has expanded to Xbox and PS4 as well.
The hacked content has been replaced with text protesting the status of Titanfall and the hacking events of the game, along with an advertisement for SaveTitanfall.com.

This site is part of a campaign that claims FPS 2014 is "unplayable", by populating lobbyists with bots and blocking the connection of any Legal player and even prevent the implementation of private lobbies.
There is a lot of documentation of gaming issues on the site, both through gaming media and through community posts on Reddit and Steam. With "more than three years" of fans trying to make the case, EA and Respawn have no trouble dropping the title. The site goes further by describing the continued sale of Titanfall in such a volatile mode — it's still $20 on Origin and Steam — as a "scam."
However, it turns out that the creators of SaveTitanfall.com were not responsible for the attack, but the campaigns were collaborated by hackers. TF Remnant Fleet - "Titanfall's largest core community" and site built with the help of the NoSkill admin community - rejected the attacks and called for their names to be deleted, RedShield manager told IGN:
The Apex Legends on behalf of TF Remnant Fleet and Titanfall Association, [I know] we are with you.
We are not behind the recent attacks and have no control over them, which is something we know the pain of. We sympathize with you and hope everything will be back to normal soon. At least, even if Titanfall isn't fixed, we hope Apex Legends is, because I know it's a game that more and more people cherish as much as we love our game.
According to RedShield, the attacks may have been carried out by someone who wanted to hone the name Remnant Fleet, but most likely it was a well-researched hacker who wanted to increase awareness of his campaign because the hackers quickly updated their content and said they had nothing to do with SaveTitanfall .com. Fortunately, the company quickly ran into a problem and provided hourly updates before they could confirm compatibility with server-side updates. It's still a bad time for fans and developers at Respawn, especially since both Apex and Titanfall - as well as the second sequel - were attacked last month with a wave of DDOS attacks.
