Even at $329 for MSRP, it sells hard. The facts of a lack of chips are unlikely to help. It's deadly in the world of computer graphics processors these days. But the little publicly available information does not confirm this.
This month is not like that. The AMD RX 6600 graphics card on sale today is nowhere near what AMD desperately needs. It sounds as loud as a "1080p" card...just like its older brother, the RX 6600XT, which came and went in August. In fact, both cards include an AMD Navi 23, to copy or downgrade the 6600 or the specs, reducing the MSRP from $379 to $329. Pulling power, you might be tempted to compromise on the RX 6600. But I'm trying to recommend it for now.
132 watts can only deliver that muchRX 6600 compared to the RX 6600XT and RX 5600XT. AMD's specification table for different Nvidia options with 2060 and 3060 Nvidia brands
The biggest problem is that it compares the AMD 6600 directly to the Nvidia RTX 3060 in terms of size, lower power, and MSRP. In many ways, the RTX 3060 easily wins the same price as Nvidia.
AMD's best exception in this race is power consumption: The RX 6600 is the lightest power drawer in the AMD RDNA 2 or Nvidia RTX 3000 series. At 132 watts, it's 22.4% less than the 3060. Such a card, the RX 6600 Compact 8.125 in (20.64 cm) - Enough space for two standard sized air conditioning fans. However, unfortunately, AMD did not take this opportunity to beat Nvidia in terms of thickness. You still need two slots in the computer case.
