Paid subscribers can now manage 'Luna Cloud' sessions - friends can join for free.
We haven't heard from Luna, the Amazon gaming service that is very similar to Google Stadia, Xbox, for quite some time now. Stream games and other cloud-based methods of playing video games from Farm Server to your favorite page. Today, Amazon is breaking its current silence with a few new ways to get more players into Luna for less money.
The first step includes Amazon's many Prime services, which are finally an instant and free way to play Luna games with your subscription. From now on, Prime Membership Payments can download the Luna website or install the Luna app on any compatible device, sync a compatible gamepad, and play four powerful video games overall: Resident Evil 7, Metro Exodus, Katamari Damacy Reroll, Monster Boy, and Kingdom damned.
This access does not require registration for a free trial of Luna, nor does it stop any of these games after arbitrarily limiting hours or progress in the game. But there's a catch: The main access to these four games in seven days ends on September 15th - at which time anyone who wants to continue these four games can officially join the "Luna+" line for $5.99 per month (free seven-day trial, If you haven't claimed one yet). Official Luna registration is not required until at least September 15th. Playable Game Library: Up to 95 hours in Luna+ from the time of publication, which varies greatly from relatively new to old. This equates to $14.99 per month on Xbox Game Streaming: 60 percent less and roughly 60 percent less games. But why doesn't Amazon add Luna's long-term access to the Amazon Prime candle for $129.99 a year and turn down this series of episodes up front?
As we've seen in the past, Amazon likes to give arbitrarily, and then pick up various Prime gifts. Gamers in particular felt the sting is changing widely in what was once Twitch Prime and now called Prime Gaming. Maybe this seven-day trial is a mockery of Luna and Prime's future communication ways, or maybe it's a litmus test to see if Amazon's bean counters think Prime's Luna gifts are worth keeping. The Luna Family: About $2.99 per month, costs months, and focuses on E-for-all pricing. And the choice of the game (printed in full at the end of the article) is not entirely appropriate. Fits certain publisher levels. Luna Family can be your only Luna subscription, or you can place it as a low-cost plug-in on top of other game suite subscriptions.
The 35 games that make up the original Luna Family roster include Death's critically acclaimed elements. Squared, Super Mega Baseball and Overcooked, a fully usable 3D platformer for SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom and Garfield Card Medium Racing. You will also receive other children's approved games, which are among the games with a quality scale. Since parents may not struggle with a $30 kid-friendly video game, the estimate of $36 per year for 35 Luna Family certified games from Amazon is respectable.
Amazon goes one step further by sharing and sharing with many of its Luna Family games, and its sales offering includes a rare cloud component: the Luna Family game on two devices. Download, you will play each cloud and they will be able to download the same co-op or opposite game. Contrary to the fact that each player, for example, displays a unique first-person view on their screen, they see exactly the same notes. But if you've ever seen two-page game sets of series like Street Fighter and want to give your kids the same experience with two boards and the same Garfield Card food, go there.
Luna Couch as a free sharing path, plus: Ubisoft+, "Retro" class
Talk about shared page capabilities: Levels are high and you want to host a collaborative fax on the bench, even with friends who They don't pay, the new Luna Couch is for you. Download a compatible game, create a "Luna Couch" link and share it online with others, whether they live near or far. Anyone can join for free, with no payment or Luna account - although it's unclear how to participate internationally.Ads
If your friend uploads your link to their compatible web browser or app, they should get one of the game controllers right away. This is because you are all connected to a cloud server again, so it can send the server game session to everyone equally. Amazon has yet to specify exactly how many Luna Couch slots it can support in a single game, or whether any of its players can arbitrarily control the slot (eg I'm in the Slot, a friend and their husband are in the second slot and another friend himself is in the third) . "Online" multiplayer in games that have never officially supported such a feature. Luna Couch doesn't seem to work in this "universal" way, so either Luna game officially supports Luna Couch or not - and we still can't say whether or not its offering will accept other GGPO DIY services that go further. Anyway, there is currently no official, paid cloud gaming service that has an option similar to “I sign up, you can join my social for free,” which means Amazon is participating in this round of fighting cloud gaming on a single service.
Today's news also includes an increase in the number of games available as part of Luna's Ubisoft+ channel, which currently includes all-new games being released on other consoles. And that means Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic this fall. As a result, Amazon is raising the price of this line to $17.99 per month, from $14.99 in the current month; If you want to keep the old rate, start subscribing before September 30th and keep it. And Amazon has hinted that Luna's next "retro" layer in the future will consist of games from SNK, Atari, and other classic publishers. However, the company has yet to confirm the price, launch date, or full library.
But the persistent problem with cloud gaming service is your communication environment. Do you live near a group of private service servers? Can you play on a hard wired chest? Can you handle any delay? And what is your bandwidth? But gaming companies still struggle with increasingly competitive distribution options and a lack of chips — with new consoles and regular games selling forever — these aren't the worst backup options for fast, affordable games.
