Sources in the publication claim that the iPad mini will benefit from the iPad Air.

9to5Mac sources say the new iPad mini has a new design reminiscent of the modern design of the iPad Air, indicating that Apple has released the Home button and significantly reduced the margins around the screen. This could be a special feature of the 7.9-inch iPad mini, which has a very small screen. The new design can still be "small" but offers a more exciting experience.Advertising
The article also claims that the iPad mini follows the lightning strike of the iPad Pro and iPad Air in making the switch.Switch to the most frequently used USB-C port. This mini includes a smart connector that provides accessories such as the Folio Smart Keyboard Edition or the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad mini.
The latest small iPad mini the story claims to understand is Apple - the A15 will be announced on the chip - and the same SoC is expected to appear on new iPhone models this year. (In the past, some iPad models have used chips that are older than the current iPhone series, even if they were launched around the same time.)
It uses the A14 nanometer scale that precedes it. Additionally, sources say that Apple is also working on a faster version of the A15 called the A15X to be included in some other iPads. That's an odd claim, as chips with similar names have already appeared in the iPad Pro line, which Apple partnered with this year to share the M1 chip in its first Silicon Macs. So if the A15X is already in production, it's not clear which iPads might get iPads.
But the article is not about the iPad mini. 9to5Mac sources also say that the 10.2-inch iPad will be updated with the Apple A13 chip compared to the A12 chip currently available on the device. The 9to5Mac story follows a similar story to Bloomberg, who said Apple plans to introduce a new iPad mini this year, but details are not available.
