The cheapest AirPads haven't changed much, but the Pro and Max have new features. While regular, non-Pro, and non-Max AirPods don't seem to benefit much from this update, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max have new "Find My" features, and AirPods Pro now have a feature called "Find My". Improved Conversational Support.

Follow up on iOS 15 review: Forget quantity, focus on quality Back in the day, you could ping your AirPads using Find My to fit between couch cushions or where your last AirPads were in Last sync with your iPhone?

But now, AirPods Pro and Max can also use Find My network of hundreds of millions of iOS devices to find lost AirTags. If you lose your headphones, other people's iOS devices may find them nearby and update the Find My app to their location. (The iOS device owner no longer has any views for this process.)

You can also use Find My Nearby to find AirPods Pro or AirPods Max, albeit at a lower resolution than Losing your AirTag, and you can get notifications when AirPods are disconnected from your phone.

The OS update also adds a chat boost to AirPods Pro. If you've used AirPods Pro before, you've heard about transparency at work. Think of it as a kind of reverse noise canceling, because it uses the same principles behind that feature, but to amplify the sound coming in instead of suppressing it.

Increased conversation becomes more accurate and zero-sum. In sounds, they use a headphone beam microphone. The idea is to make sure you can hear people talking in your ear when you talk to your AirPods Pro, even if you're listening to music in a noisy room.

Conversation Enhancement Another default noise control mode that can be changed in the Control Center such as transparency or noise cancellation. Alternatively, it can be enabled through the Accessibility panel in the Settings app.

Unfortunately, there is no way to manually update AirPods OS. They are automatically transferred to your headphones via your phone. But you can check your iPhone Settings app to see which version you are currently running.
