Google Docs for hardware manufacturers supports release date and support times lists.
Android 10 was released on September 3, 2019, and Android 11 was released on September 8, 2020. So where is the Android 12 release this year? p>
Instead of the latest version of Android 12 this month, Google has dropped Android 12 Beta 5, saying the latest version is "a few weeks away". A new report from XDA developer Mishaal Rahman claims to have eased the situation a bit and says Monday October 4th is a magical date. For Android 12. This document only lists the release time of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code, but usually the developer source code and consumer pixel release are in one day.
The Android 12 sustainable update may be released on October 4, because that's when Google plans to release AOSP. This beta release date is also listed by 3PL. pic.twitter.com/PMN802gQj0

This document appears to be for third-party device manufacturers interested in licensing Android apps is Google. It mentions a lot of dates for the OS support schedule. Of course, the core of Android is open source, and anyone can do whatever they want with the source code, but if you want Google approval and permission for apps like Play Store and Gmail, you have to follow the rules. In order to force manufacturers to release newer versions of Android on new devices, Google will only suspend GMS (Google Mobile Services - alias, all Google Apps) licenses for new devices for about two years. The document also mentions cases where Google has discontinued support for Android 12 databases and "ACK" or "Android Common Kernel" (Linux kernel with Android patches) with security patches, that is, 3.5 years after their release. (Keep in mind that supported devices will move to a newer version of Android after the first year.)Advertising
The next release is understandable, as Google has a lot of work to do this year. Android 12 is one of the biggest versions of Android that comes with a brand new “Material You” user interface for Pixel phones and includes an automatic color theme scheme. Devices will eventually start sending Android "GKI" or "Generic Kernel Image", which helps integrate the Android Linux kernel across multiple devices, and may even allow some devices to perform kernel updates through the Store. There's an additional file system for Play-as-you-download games, a new privacy dashboard, performance improvements and a million other changes.
Some of these new features won't be fully visible to users until the launch of the Pixel 6 (whenever that is) but the first bulk, Android 12, is only a few weeks away.
Android 12 is said to be released on October 4
