Google will stop releasing Android 12 pixels, and will also announce its release on 10/27/10.
There is a strange improvement here. Many people thought that today would be the official release of Android 12, which will turn the eight-month beta build into one of the longest phases of Google's newest operating system. Today, Google is releasing Android 12 somehow - but only as source code. There are no nightly updates for any device, not even Pixel phones.
Android was developed in secret (although when you have an eight-month beta, nothing really is hidden) and released as open source when you're done. This usually includes Pixel phones as well - which is one of the great benefits of owning them. Today, with the source code released, one of Google's blog posts notes that Pixel devices "will be updated in the next few weeks." Hype Write your bet in the comments why we have this unprecedented version of the once-a-day mobile app that hasn't been released. Isn't Android 12 out? It appears to be based on the latest beta version last month. I also did enough to post the source code, so it doesn't show up. Will Google stop the release of Android 12 to get the OS to start working on the Pixel 6? Marketing partnership is our best guess for this weird version right now.
Speaking of marketing, Google also inadvertently announced the Android Dev Summit on October 27-28, hosted by Mythbuster Kari Byron. This is the latest Android Pixel release date.Advertising
Android 12 is one of the largest versions of Android in recent memory. A new user interface "Material You" will be available for Android. This update provides a great color changing interface for the operating system, many Google apps, and any third-party apps that you want to support. With the new background-based color scheme, most apps and interfaces have been redesigned with new layouts, animations, and rounded corners. There are now privacy notices about continued use of the new privacy camera, microphone, and dashboard. The new devices running Android 12 (read: Pixel 6) are the first devices to send Google a "public kernel image", which should bring Android closer to Linux than ever, with less distance (and less time) between Linux and Android kernel. There is an additional file system for downloaded apps and of course new emojis.
If Android gets a version of the device, we'll see the release of the new mid-cycle release, Android 12.1. Hot on the tail of Android 12.1 has already been leaked and may be released before the end of the year. Google is also sending out a wide range of app redesigns through the Play Store and they are likely to continue for at least the next few months.
