Editor's Note: Amazon could rock the TV industry with its first branded series, but they'll have to prove themselves first. Personally, I wait and let early buyers rate the quality of the kits before dropping my money. And you can almost guarantee that it will be sold out by Black Friday, so removing the original price may not be a long-term penalty.
Amazon has introduced its first smart TV under the Amazon brand and it will be available in the US starting next month. Amazon's first series is split into two distinct series, the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series, which has 4K Ultra HD and also supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Digital Plus. They'll be available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch screens, and the two larger models have narrow bezels and Dolby Vision support.
As the name suggests, the Fire TV Omni series also comes with an Amazon Fire TV experience with Alexa hands-free voice technology. This function turns the TV on or off, allowing you to enter your favorite app directly without having to touch the remote control.
Amazon brand TVs will be available exclusively on Amazon and Best Buy starting next month. Prices start at $409.99 for the 43-inch Omni chainring and go up to $1099.99 for the 75-inch model, while the 4-inch chain is $436.99 and for the 55-inch model it goes up to $519.99.
For a limited time, you can save $110 on the 50-inch Omni and 4 Series models, reducing them to $399.99 and $359.99, respectively (reduction appears at checkout).
