Based on a strong legacy
LibreOffice is the successor to OpenOffice.org (better known as OpenOffice), which in turn was based on StarOffice. The software has been in development for years and has been used by millions of people in different visualizations. Today, LibreOffice is a more active continuation of the OpenOffice.org code site, published every six months and used by hundreds of contributors. LibreOffice also uses the document release project libraries to return control to content creators.
