With better tires and bumps, the $64,900 version is the performance version.
Sausalito, California. In the grand design of it all, the names automakers give their cars really don't matter. However, nearly two years after it was first revealed, some are still upset that Ford decided to name its new electric crossover the Mustang Mach-e. It may not have worked out for Ford to initially focus on a long-range Mach, rather than a car that matches the Mustang as a sports car for the people.
I'm not entirely sympathetic to this argument. When we tested the Mach-E in February, I found it to be a good device, but it wasn't much fun. New red brake calipers, plus a black honeycomb at the front with a shiny Mach-E logo. Ford designers also modified the front air curtains, with the GT logo on the back instead of the Mach-E horse. As usual, people will express their opinions about the design. I think the new nasal treatment is very effective here.Advertising
There's new front seats with more lateral reinforcements, and new aluminum trim, combined with charcoal, makes the Mach-E GT's cabin much more expensive than its price.
The Mach-E GT uses battery cells similar to those of other Mach-Es and has a usable capacity of 88 kWh. However, this package contains powerful electronic components that can deliver a maximum output of 480 hp (358 kW) -134 hp (100 kW) more than the previous most powerful Mach-E. Torque increased by more than 580 Nm to 600 lb-ft (813 Nm).
