CoreDirector lets you take full control of P-cores and E-cores in your Intel CPU

CoreDirector is a loose Windows application to hold detailed tactics from being scheduled to efficient cores (E-cores), thereby preserving them on performant cores (P-cores). This permits stepped forward performance in worrying programs, which include gaming, audio manufacturing, video editing, and streaming.

A common project with heterogeneous CPUs like Intel twelfth technology is the occasional undesirable scheduling of threads onto the green (E) cores, hampering their performance. This difficulty arises because maximum applications have not been, and may never be, updated to offer specific instructions to the scheduler regarding their thread load types, leaving Windows to rely on knowledgeable guesses. CoreDirector has numerous techniques of enforcement, from gently disabling Efficiency Mode on track procedures, to the little stronger CPU sets, to strict CPU affinities. See the 'Options' menu to pick the method(s) of enforcement.

Enforcement Methods:

Efficiency Mode OFF
This method will save you threads from being put into Efficiency Mode. This serves to save you them from being routinely scheduled to the E-cores. However, a procedure can nonetheless use the E-cores if its thread rely warrants such, or if it specially chooses to.

CPU Affinities
This technique will restrict all threads to the P-cores. The simplest exception is a process this is deliberately scheduling onto the E-cores. In that case, you may use Process Lasso with 'Forced Mode' to triumph over the technique's personal choices.

CPU Sets
This approach is somewhere in between the opposite and leaves a number of the decision to the OS.

CoreDirector will run nice along Process Lasso.
