Opera Opera Browser is used for general Internet applications such as web browsing, receiving and sending e-mails, communications management, RCC online chat, torrent bit protocol uploading, and reading web feeds. Opera is available free of charge for PCs, mobile phones and tablets. Opera was launched as a research project at Telenor, Norway's largest communications company. The main components of Opera are tab-based browsing, small features and page magnification, a variety of mouse cursor shapes, and an integrated load management section. In terms of security, Opera has an internal protector against phishing attacks and programs called malware, as well as the ability to maintain security when browsing websites and deleting personal information such as cookies.
